About Dr. Quarneri
I first became inspired to become a chiropractor while I was receiving treatment for an old football injury which had left me with pain that persisted for years. Surprisingly, after just one visit to a chiropractor, my torticollis ailment never returned.
At that point in my life, I was a personal trainer. I had received my undergraduate degree in physical education from the University of California, Berkeley, worked in a physical therapy clinic, and had run my own personal training business. However, I knew after chiropractic care cured me so quickly, that it was where I needed to be - so I headed back to school.
I started studying at Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California, but knew my curiosity for how the brain and body work together wouldn’t be satisfied by the standard chiropractic education. Luckily, I found colleagues who shared my passion and determination to learn more. Together, we decided to supplement our education by taking postdoctoral neurology courses on weekends. Because of that, when I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life Chiropractic West in 1996, I was more than your average chiropractor. Shortly thereafter, I became a certified chiropractic neurologist.
Today, my main goals are to make patients as comfortable as possible and to educate them as much as I can regarding their condition. I’m very approachable and patient, and I can always be found with a smile on my face. I take the extra steps to improve my patients functional biomechanics whether their issue is acute, chronic or permanent. Our state of the art rehabilitation facility focuses on rebuilding core strength, balance and stability in an attempt to permanently keep pain away.
I also strive to be an influence on the community - helping educate people on more than just rehabilitation. Completing over 1,000 hours of continuing education in the past 18 years has given me a diverse range of knowledge in specialized areas such as nutrition, traumatic brain injuries, adolescent learning and behavioral disorders, vertigo/dizziness and movement disorders.
What is most gratifying and rewarding about what I do is seeing the progress patients make on a daily basis and them returning to the activities they enjoy.
My life outside of work revolves around my family and sports. I’m passionate about golf and have managed and coached little league baseball and football teams. I was born and raised in San Francisco and feel lucky to experience the culture, activities, and scenery in the Bay Area every single day.

Education and Experience
Dr. Paul Quarneri’s earliest experience with chiropractic care was as a patient. After one visit with the right chiropractor, his old football injury never bothered him again. He was working as a physical therapist at the time, learning the value of personalized care, and the benefits of working one-on-one with patients during recovery. He studied physical education at UC Berkeley, and after his stunning recovery, he headed to Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California to become a chiropractor. He and a group of colleagues took postdoctoral neurology courses on the weekend, supplementing their studies with classes on the complex connections between the brain and the body. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1996, and his supplementary work earned him a certification as a chiropractic neurologist shortly after. Today, he is a diplomate for the American Chiropractic Neurology Board, and a member of both the California and American Chiropractic Association.
